Use Fritz Aquatics Fritz Complete Full Spectrum Water Conditioner when setting up new aquariums, performing water changes or to quickly alleviate high ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Fritz Complete is safe for all freshwater and saltwater aquariums, including reef and planted aquariums. 16 oz treats 4,800 gallons.
Please note: This product will affect the accuracy of Nessler-type ammonia test kits and Winkler-type oxygen test kits. Salicylate ammonia test kits are recommended.
Directions &; Dosage
Use 1 tsp (5 ml) per 50 U.S. gallons (189 L). For best results, add Fritz Complete to tap water before adding water to aquarium. If treating aquarium for ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate, base dose on aquarium volume. For extremely high levels of chloramine or nitrite, dosage can be repeated or increased up to 5x within a 24-hour period.
DO NOT OVERDOSE. A sulfur odor is normal and dissipates rapidly after use. In certain rare conditions and in low oxygen environments, this product may reduce dissolved oxygen levels. Ensure there is adequate circulation/aeration before adding.

A. Treated water can be added to the aquarium immediately after mixing with Fritz Complete.
Q. Can Fritz Complete be overdosed?
A. The dosage of Fritz Complete can be increased by up to 5x the recommended amount. If a higher dose is added to the tank, ensure the aquarium is well aerated and monitor the dissolved oxygen levels.
Q. Does Fritz Complete remove chloramine? If so, where does the ammonia go?
A. Fritz Complete works by first removing chlorine from the water, then binding with ammonia until it can be consumed by the nitrifying bacteria in your system.
Q. Fritz Complete smells bad. Is that normal?
A. Fritz Complete has a very distinct sulfur odor, which is completely normal.
Q. If I remove all ammonia, will it harm the bacteria colony?
A. Fritz Complete binds with ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate making them harmless to the inhabitants while still bioavailable to the beneficial bacteria.
Q. What do I dose if my ammonia is extremely high?
